Why this site exists

Most migration content online falls into two camps: dry government portals that assume you already know the terminology, or vague "top 10 tips" content written by people who've never gone through the process themselves. Route Europa tries to be the third thing — honest, specific, dated guides written by someone who has actually lived the move.

Who's behind it

[YOUR FULL NAME] — lived in Germany and Sweden since 2019, including going through the German and Swedish researcher-permit systems firsthand as a PhD/postdoc researcher. That's also why the Researchers section is the site's deepest and most personally-verified part.

Who it's for

Students, professionals, job seekers, and researchers — starting with people moving from India, Nigeria, the Philippines, Sri Lanka, and Indonesia to Germany, Sweden, Poland, and the Netherlands, with more countries added as the site grows.
