How this site makes money
Route Europa is free to read and is mainly funded through affiliate commissions, in this priority order:
- Affiliate commissions — money-transfer services (e.g. Wise, Remitly), banking, insurance, eSIM, and job platforms
- Display advertising — once traffic supports it
- Sponsored content — always labelled as such, never disguised as editorial
What this means for you
When you click certain links and sign up for or purchase a service, we may earn a commission from that company — at no extra cost to you. The price you pay is the same whether or not you use our link.
How affiliate links are marked
Every affiliate link on Route Europa carries a visible AD tag next to it, and uses rel="sponsored" in the underlying HTML so search engines and browsers can identify it as a paid relationship too. If a link isn't marked "AD", it is not an affiliate link.
Editorial independence
Affiliate relationships never determine our rankings or recommendations. Our comparisons (like the money-transfer tables) are built from published, dated data using a consistent methodology — a provider does not get a better spot for paying us more. If we would not recommend a service to a friend making the same move, we do not recommend it here, commission or not.
